Congratulations Sean Carte

Congratulations Sean Carte (Library IT Dept) on winning a competition held by @MIRE, a software company that is well known for their research and development in open source software such as DSPACE. The announcement was made on @MIRE’s website this week (see details). The prize, an add-on module for content and usage analysis (an extremely expensive module) will be implemented by @MIRE for free. This much needed module will now enable us to report more efficiently on the usage of the Institutional Repository. WELL DONE SEAN!!!

DUT Library introduces Summon, a new Discovery Tool.
Your library, from a single starting point
The Library has launched a new service that allows students and research staff to quickly search and locate Library resources in the same way they search Google or Google Scholar. The Summon™ service, located on the Library homepage, lets users search all the Library’s content from a single search box – books, e-books, journal articles, databases, DUT theses and dissertations and research papers.
Go to Summon. If you experience any problems using Summon,
or wish to send us feedback, please click here.
