Another graduate in our midst – Congratulations Nhlanhla Nhleko

NhlanhlaThe library congratulates Nhlanhla Nhleko, the Engineering and Built Environment Subject Librarian, on being awarded his Master’s degree in Information Technology at the September graduation held at Pretoria University.

Nhanhla enjoyed many new experiences and opportunities while studying for his MIT coursework degree. He had the opportunity to travel to both the United States and Uganda. In the United States he spent time at the Mortenson Center at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champagne; and also at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Milwaukee campuses. While in Washington DC, Nhlanhla toured the well-known Library of Congress. He was very impressed with the availability and use of technology in all the American libraries he visited. While in Uganda, Nhlanhla spent time at Makerere University.

This was the first time Nhlanhla has travelled beyond South Africa’s borders and it was definitely one of the highpoints of his postgraduate experience.

Nhlanhla ‘s research for his thesis was on the topic of the Information Behavior of Masters and Doctoral Students of the Durban University of Technology with Specific Reference to Information Technology.
