Santa ShoeBox Project
The Library Director encouraged Library staff to become involved in the Santa Shoebox Project. This project is an initiative of the Kidz2Kidz Trust who aims to distribute 100,000 boxes to underprivileged children around South Africa and Namibia. Library staff have contributed generously by filling colourfully decorated shoeboxes with the prescribed items (clothing, toiletries, toys and sweets). Central Services staff co-ordinated the project in conjunction with representatives from site libraries.
