Library operating hours

Please note that the DUT Library has revised its operating hours and services with effect from 17 March until 14 April 2020 to respond to the Coronavirus outbreak and to mitigate the associated risks.

During the above period the following will apply:

• Library open areas: Seating spaces in the library have been rearranged to encourage social distancing
• Computer Labs: Access to the computer labs will be limited – selected computers in the labs will be made accessible to allow social distancing. Users are encouraged to bring their own laptops/devices
• 24/7 Study facilities: Access to 24 hour study facilities at Alan Pittendrigh Library, BM Patel Library and Indumiso Library will be closed
• Research Commons: Access to Alan Pittendrigh Research Commons after-hours will be closed
• Loan/Return of library books: All books out of loan will be automatically renewed until the 14th April 2020

When using library services and facilities, library users are encouraged to use the hand sanitisers provided in the library

The libraries will revert to vacation opening hours as follows:

BM Patel Library (ML Sultan)

Sat: 10:00 – 14:00

Brickfield Library

City Campus Library
Mon – Fri: 07:30 – 16:30

Indumiso Library
Mon – Fri: 07:30 – 16:30
Sat: 10:00 – 14:00

Riverside Library
Mon – Fri: 07:30 – 16:30
