Billy Nair Special Collection Launch
In commemoration of Human Rights Day in South Africa, the DUT Library is proud to host
the launch of its first archival collection to be housed in the Library’s Archives and Special
Collections. The Billy Nair Archive Collection offers a compelling glimpse into the political
and personal life of Mr Billy Nair, highlighting the legacy of a humble, yet impactful South
African whose contribution to the country’s liberation struggle remains deeply significant.
This collection has been carefully curated from documents, books, and artefacts generously
donated to the DUT Library by the Billy and Elsie Nair Trust.
