Complete the BUSSE Survey now, and win a laptop

The Siyaphumelela Project focusing on student success, is running the Beginning University Survey of Student Engagement (BUSSE) in partnership with the University of Free State.

BUSSE is open to all First-year students ONLY.  The BUSSE survey measures entering first-year students’ academic and co-curricular experiences and their expectations regarding participation in educationally purposeful activities during their first year.

In 2017, first-year students at the Durban University of Technology mentioned that they have positive attitudes and are optimistic about their potential to succeed.  They also indicated that they are willing and prepared to seek support from other students and lecturers in order to ensure that they succeed in their studies.

Your feedback helps us plan what and how we teach, work-integrated learning courses, tutorials and other support programmes, how they are engaged and their overall success.

Set aside 15-20 minutes of your day to complete the survey thoughtfully.  BUSSE is really easy to complete and your feedback is valuable because it lets DUT know how to help you achieve the best results you can right from the beginning.

Registered students stand a chance of winning a LAPTOP if they complete the survey in full.  BUSSE is running from the 4th of February 2019 until the 29th of March 2019.
