Invitation – Database Training (LexisNexis) 9 Sept 2015
The LexisNexis database provides full-text articles, tax cases reports and law reports.
A training representative will demonstrate several features of the platform and the following points will be covered:
- Search Templates – navigate through information to find critical content using search templates and filters.
- Search Filters – locate exact information by filtering your search results with 9 specific criteria (keywords, subject, referenced Act, judge, year published year, publication source, CiteIT signal, region, document type)
- CiteIT signal – categorises results by precedential value (confirmed, overruled, neutral, cautionary)
- Related Content – uncover more details by adding further insight linking to referencing works whilst viewing Case Law or Legislation.
- Practical Features – print, email and export documents; automatic search history; consolidate custom view.
- Legal Citator – provides analysis of a judgement in its precedential value, history and treatment
Built in hyperlinks to primary legal sources (law reports and statutes)
Graphic CiteIT signals indicating the judgement interpretation
Provides trusted results and hence invaluable “time saving” in legal research
